Suspect hospitalized after shooting involving Salt Lake City Police Department officers

SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — A suspect was hospitalized after a shooting involving the Salt Lake City Police Department early Friday morning.

The shooting happened just after midnight in the area of 100 South and 800 East on April 3.

A Salt Lake SWAT team was serving a drugs and weapons warrant in conjunction with the department’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Team, which escalated into the shooting. Details on what exactly led to the shooting were not immediately disclosed. No officers were injured.
