Suspect killed in officer-involved shooting identified as Sandy man charged with terrorism

MURRAY, Utah (KUTV) — The suspect killed in an officer-involved shooting on I-15 was identified as a man charged with felony terrorism in 2024.

Sayed Mousavi, 29, of Sandy, reportedly threatened to “kill Americans and kill the U.S.A,” as well as “buy guns and shoot up the Sandy Police Department” in November 2024.
