Shots Fly At Cougar Park As West Jordan Park Argument Turns Violent

An argument between two groups exploded into gunfire Sunday morning at Cougar Park in West Jordan, leaving two people wounded, according to police. Both victims were taken to a nearby hospital and were reported to be in stable condition.

Witnesses told officers that multiple shots were fired and that at least one person brandished a firearm during the confrontation. The clash turned a neighborhood park into an active crime scene in a matter of moments.

West Jordan Police told FOX 13 News the incident happened near Cougar Park at 6600 S 4800 West and involved several rounds being fired. Officers remained on scene Sunday, interviewing witnesses and trying to piece together what sparked the dispute.
