SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, April 6, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — A man shot by a police officer during a Salt Lake City SWAT action has been released from the hospital and booked into jail.
Lawrence Lute Vigil, 37, was in a residence at 49 S. 800 East just after midnight on Friday when police tried to serve a search warrant, his arrest document says.
After Salt Lake City Police officers surrounded the building and breached the front door, Vigil attempted to “bail out the window, but jumped back inside,” the court document says…
