SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) announced upcoming construction impacting Bangerter Highway this summer.
UDOT is adding a new high-visibility lane striping along Bangerter Highway. The striping is meant to make the lines easier for drivers to see and improve safety.
Every Saturday through Thursday night from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., lane closures should be expected. The closures will occur on Bangerter Highway from Interstate 15 in Draper to 2400 South in Salt Lake County.
During the construction, crews will be installing new “tiger tail” lane striping. The pattern alternates white and black lines to make it easier to see on the road in dark or wet conditions. Additionally, the contrast helps autonomous vehicle sensors and cameras…
