Driving to the Salt Lake City airport? Watch for these ramp closures

Drivers heading to the Salt Lake City airport should plan ahead for temporary ramp closures.

State of play: Ramps from I-215 South to I-80 West and from I-80 East to I-215 South are closed through mid-June as part of a major construction project, according to the Utah Department of Transportation.

  • The 45-day closures began Sunday evening.

Zoom in: If you’re traveling to the airport from the north, take I-215 South to SR-201, then head west on SR-201 to northbound Bangerter Highway.

  • If you’re traveling on I-80 East, you’ll be detoured to I-15 South and SR-201 West, where you can reconnect to I-215 South.

Ramp closures already in place include:
