SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — The First Presidency of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints visited several finished rooms at the newly renovated Salt Lake Temple on Friday.
President Dallin H. Oaks, along with his wife, Kristen, and other church leaders toured the temple on Friday, May 8. The ongoing renovation is a part of an effort to preserve the religion’s sacred spaces, according to the church.
Oaks visited the temple as he recovers from a hip replacement surgery. He reportedly said that the tour was a welcome part of his recovery, which doctors said normally lasts for three to four months.
