SOUTH SALT LAKE, Utah (ABC4) — Construction crews will be working on Main Street in South Salt Lake this weekend, according to the city.
Crews will be doing resurfacing and restriping work on Main Street this weekend, beginning May 14 and lasting until May 18, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. each day. The work will take place on Main Street between 2100 South and 3300 South in South Salt Lake.
The road will receive a new “micro surfacing treatment” and will then be restriped to reconfigure the flow of traffic and bike mobility. No parking will be reduced or impacted by this project.
The new configuration will mirror that of Salt Lake City, according to South Salt Lake. The road will be changed to one lane of traffic in each direction — a reduction from the two lanes currently available — as well as a new center turn lane and dedicated bike lanes on both sides of the road…
