Home between two houses destroyed in April explosion demolished as victims return

What was left of the home that sat between two houses that exploded in April was demolished and cleaned up Monday, as one of the victims returned to the scene that left her and her partner hospitalized for weeks.

The other two houses — owned by the Nowell family and the Ochoas — have not been demolished.

Mayte Terrie Reeves, who was in the house with Jose Ochoa at the time of the explosion, said returning to the neighborhood was emotional. “We lived here for 13 years. I love this neighborhood. I love my home, and for this to have happened, it should have never ever happened,” Reeves said…
