Voters in San Antonio’s largest school district may soon be asked to approve a property tax increase and four bond propositions totaling $911 million, more than double what district officials initially projected.
A large Citizens Bond Committee that met over the summer recommends the Northside Independent School District place the asks on a Nov. 3 ballot, including a 3-cent increase in the district’s property tax rate. The recommendation comes as Northside ISD has halted roughly $200 million in 2022 bond projects at nine elementary campuses.
