The criminal charges against a former Bexar County sheriff’s deputy accused of opening jail cells to allow inmate attacks have been dismissed, according to court records.
Jorge Alejandro Rocha, 31, was facing misdemeanor charges of official oppression and interfering with public duties. Those charges were dismissed July 7 after prosecutors determined there was insufficient evidence to proceed, according to court records and the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office.
