SAN ANTONIO — A woman died Sunday night after being struck by a vehicle while walking on a highway on the city’s East Side, according to San Antonio police.
Officers were dispatched around 8:42 p.m. to the 4100 block of Loop 1604 after reports that a vehicle struck a pedestrian.
The woman was walking eastbound outside of a designated crosswalk when a Volkswagen Jetta hit her. The driver of the Volkswagen remained at the scene and called emergency services, police said. Emergency crews found the woman unresponsive on the highway, and she was pronounced dead at the scene…
