A San Antonio man could be sentenced to life in prison if jurors find him guilty of murder in a 2024 fatal shooting at a public housing community near the Tower of the Americas.
Daniel Gonzalez was 35 when he was arrested and charged in the killing of Donnell “Donnie” Sterling, 52, who was shot to death at the Victoria Plaza Apartments, according to prosecutors. Gonzalez’s trial began Monday in state District Judge Frank Castro’s courtroom.
