Some San Antonio renters could be eligible for a share of a proposed $359 million class-action settlement involving allegations that property managers and owners conspired to inflate apartment rents using property management software.
A federal judge in Tennessee has preliminarily approved the settlements but has not determined that the defendants violated the law. The companies deny wrongdoing and agreed to settle to avoid the cost and uncertainty of continued litigation.
Several companies named in the lawsuit operated San Antonio-area properties during at least part of the settlement period, according to a review of publicly available company records and apartment listings. They include Allied Orion Group, Avenue5 Residential, Cortland Management, Greystar Management Services, Highmark Residential, Knightvest Residential, Lantower Luxury Living, Mid-America Apartment Communities and Pinnacle Property Management Services…
