SAN ANTONIO – One lucky woman is getting a new set of wheels after this year’s Drive Away for Education campaign raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to help Texas students.
Belinda Puente of San Antonio won the campaign’s grand prize and will get to choose between a brand-new car or truck. Puente got the surprise call Thursday night and said she could hardly believe she had finally won after years of entering raffles and supporting different causes.
“I enter like every raffle almost every year, and I’ve never won,” Puente said. “I try to win a car. You know, I support so many different causes, but I’ve never, you know, wow.”…
