San Antonio Animal Care Services seeks foster homes after storms knock out power

SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio Animal Care Services is asking residents to open their homes to shelter dogs after severe storms overnight left the facility without power.

Shelter officials said the outage has significantly affected operations as crews work to restore service. Animal Care Services is now seeking short-term foster homes for dogs for one to two weeks to help ease crowding and create more space during the emergency.
