The Dakota East Side Ice House has officially closed its doors.
The popular East Side gathering spot signed off with a Tuesday evening Facebook post with the simple message: “As a wise pig once said … ‘A-buh-dee, a-buh-dee, a-buh-dee … th-that’s all, folks!’”
The post also included a picture of its front door with a sign that read, “Shut happens.”The casual hangout known for its “Just be nice, dammit!” ethos was originally scheduled to close on Sunday, Aug. 9. However, its eclectic clientele rallied to raise funds in hopes of staving off its demise…
