San Antonio River Authority, Brooks move forward with major South Side economic development project

SAN ANTONIO – A major economic development effort on the South Side is moving forward after the San Antonio River Authority board approved the conveyance of 243 acres to the Brooks Development Authority.

The land is part of Project Oso, a joint effort aimed at bringing large-scale economic development and jobs to the area. The site is located just south of Loop 410 and less than two miles from the original Brooks campus.

Brooks officials said they will now work with partners to prepare the site for development…
