SAN ANTONIO – Tree roots have pushed sidewalk panels four to six inches out of the ground. Slabs are cracked. Corners are raised so high that one elderly resident can no longer safely walk to the mailbox.
This is Rolling Ridge Club, a neighborhood on San Antonio’s Northwest Side — and its homeowners association says the city already knows about the problem. They filed a 311 complaint months ago. The city denied it.
Now, after KSAT’s report last week on San Antonio’s citywide sidewalk condition assessment, the HOA is asking a pointed question: Who is actually responsible for fixing this — and will Rolling Ridge ever see repairs?
