A major crash is being reported along Loop 1604, according to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). The crash happened just after 3 p.m. on Friday, September 25 on Loop 1604 near O’Connor Road. The incident seems to involve an overturned track, according to Transguide cameras. At least one westbound lane of Loop 1604 is shut down as a result of the crash.
Traffic monitoring site SigAlert reports delays up to 1-hour for drivers on the Northeast Side. Traffic is backed up all the way to Interstate 35 near Live Oak. This area usually sees high-traffic with construction in the area.
