San Antonio police have concluded a lengthy internal investigation into who leaked information about security arrangements at Mayor Gina Ortiz’s home, and no officers were disciplined as a result.
San Antonio Police Department officials described the inquiry as exhaustive, involving interviews with 115 officers. Without revealing anything about the findings, the department said no officers were suspended, reprimanded or otherwise disciplined.
“An internal investigation was conducted into the disclosure of details concerning the mayor’s executive protection arrangements,” an SAPD spokeswoman said. “The investigation has been completed, and no disciplinary action was issued. Therefore, the investigation cannot be disclosed. For security reasons, we do not comment on the details of the mayor’s protection as it concerns sensitive security procedures.”…
