Methodist Healthcare has found its next president and CEO.
David Shimp, who has more than 20 years of healthcare leadership experience with HCA Healthcare, is taking the helm on Dec. 1.
The hospital system’s former CEO, Dan Miller, who was appointed president of San Antonio’s largest healthcare system in 2023, announced his departure in August. He moved on to become president of HCA’s East Florida Division. HCA jointly owns Methodist with local nonprofit Methodist Healthcare Ministries of South Texas Inc.…
