SAN ANTONIO – A welfare check on the city’s South Side took a deadly turn on Tuesday night when a man reportedly confessed to killing his girlfriend and then opened fire on officers. The deadly shooting happened around 9:30 p.m. at a home off South Flores Street near Terrell Avenue.
