As the celestial dance of the moon and sun draws near, Texas school districts are zeroing in on safety and educational opportunities. Schools in the Texas Hill Country, including Kerrville ISD, Boerne ISD, and Comfort ISD, are embracing the dark during the “Great American Eclipse” on April 8 by closing for the day. In San Antonio, and its surroundings bathed in the path of totality, students will witness nearly four and a half minutes of daytime darkness-a record for the event in the country.
