Highlands High School lockout lifted and all-clear given, SAISD officials say

SAN ANTONIO – SAISD officials said Thursday a “lockout” at Highlands High School has been lifted and the all-clear was given. The high school was placed on lockdown earlier in the day, but SAISD officials said school officers transitioned it to a lockout at some point later. Lockout means that all students and staff remain safely inside and the school operates in a normal manner, but no individuals are allowed to enter the building unless designated by the principal.
