Kangaroos are a top tier animal to visit at the zoo. They’re adorable, they love to jump, and you never know if they’re going to be hiding a little baby kangaroo in their pouch!
On Sunday, February 11, one mama kangaroo was doing just that, and it’s entirely too precious:
The San Antonio Zoo is definitely on my bucket list. I’d love to go there and fantasize about shoving a baby kangaroo in my purse!

The kangaroo in this video is one of many who live at the San Antonio Zoo. The zoo actually has an attraction called ” Kangaroo Krossing ,” where visitors can get up-close and personal to the animals and feed or pet them. Similar encounters exist at zoos all over the country; when raised with enough exposure, kangaroos pose little threat to humans and can even enjoy the attention, affection, and treats they get out of the whole ordeal!
The baby kangaroo and his mother in this video are likely not part of the Kangaroo Krossing attraction, though; the joey is too young. For now, the pair are most likely off by themselves bonding and growing together. In the beginning of their lives, joeys spend most of their time in the pouch!
