The oldest bakery in Texas has withstood the test of time and is nearly as old as Texas is a state. And the bakery isn’t slowing down any time soon. Texas became a state in 1845. In 1868, in the middle of the Texas Hill Country, a bakery opened serving residents of the town of New Braunfels, and for 156 years, Naegelin’s Bakery has been a big part of Texas and New Braunfels history.
