Yelp is stirring up rivalry between two Texas cities. What started it? Tacos.
A Yelp ranking released Tuesday listed where to find the best tacos in each state. An Austin food truck was the Texas winner.
Cuantos Tacos in Austin is Texas’ ‘best taco spot’
Cuantos Tacos has a 4.7-star rating with 288 reviews on Yelp and was deemed the best taco spot in Texas this year. Its menu features a variety Mexico City style tacos and quesadillas.
“We specialize in serving Mexico City style street tacos,” Cuantos Tacos owner and chef Luis “Beto” Robledo wrote on Yelp. “Our main focus is to only serve tacos & quesadillas similar as to what you would find in the City. We use 100% NIXTAMAL tortillas for our tacos for that unique taste you can only find in Mexico.”
The Austin food truck is in the Arbor Food Truck Park on East 12th Street. It’s open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturdays. It is closed Sundays and Mondays.
