Obama shares which teams he will watch this season: “It’s hard to take your eyes off Wembanyama when he’s on the floor”

Former United States President Barack Obama is an avid basketball fan who’s been rooting for the Chicago Bulls since the 1980s. However, he also pays attention to the rest of the NBA and, like most of the basketball world, has been captivated by the sheer size, talent, and potential for greatness of the San Antonio Spurs’ wunderkind, Victor Wembanyama .

On the first episode of “The Young Man and The Three,” Obama spoke to All-Star guard Tyrese Haliburton and host Tommy Alter about his fascination with Wemby and the teams and players he’s keen to watch this coming season.

Called Wemby “unbelievable”

In his rookie season, the Frenchman already did some incredible things, such as leading the league in blocked shots and earning Rookie of the Year, All-Defensive Team, and All-Rookie Team honors. At only 20, the sky’s the limit for the 7’4″ big man, and Obama said he can’t wait to see what more the young man can accomplish at this level.

“It’s hard to take your eyes off Wembanyama when he’s on the court,” the 44th President of the United States said .
