Authorities used location data from Brad Simpson’s cell phone and pickup truck to show him driving the vehicle during the early October time frame when his wife went missing, according to the
Express-News’
reporting on the document.
Additionally, police found notes they think were written by Brad Simpson and items they believe he burned, the daily reports, citing details from the affidavit. After executing a search warrant at property the Simpsons own in Bandera, Texas Rangers found a burnt laptop and three cellphones, according to the document.
Brad Simpson, 53, was charged with murder on Nov. 7 in connection with his wife’s disappearance. His bail has been set at $2 million.
A friend of Suzanne Simpson, 51, reported her missing Oct. 7. Her disappearance followed a heated argument she had with Brad Simpson in front the couple’s $1.4 million Olmos Park mansion, according to an earlier arrest affidavit.
Authorities are continuing to comb the San Antonio area for Suzanne Simpson’s body. So far, searches of near her Olmos Park residence, a wooded area in Boerne and a landfill in East San Antonio have turned up no remains, the Express-News reports.
