Eggs have been a hot topic in the news lately, as avian flu continues to impact egg-laying chickens in the United States. The resulting egg shortages have not only been hurting consumers; they’ve also been making it hard for restaurants and grocery stores to maintain an affordable supply of eggs.
Because market prices for eggs have continued to rise, some businesses have had to adjust their menu pricing, added surcharges and/or changes their services to offset those costs. We’ve rounded up a few of those restaurants who’ve had to adjust to keep serving egg-based dishes. Keep in mind that if market prices lower, these places will likely be able to roll back at least some of these changes.
The Rodeo Bar & Grill
A sign seen on the door of the San Antonio restaurant in January states that breakfast tacos with eggs and breakfast plates with eggs will be priced higher for the time being. It is unclear if The Rodeo Bar & Grill is still implementing these higher prices.
