San Antonio severe storm chances decreasing Thursday night. A few storms remain possible

After a relatively quiet month of March, storm season has finally arrived across South Texas. Widespread thunderstorms already moved over much of the region on Wednesday , and we’re getting ready for another round of storms Thursday and into the overnight hours.

The biggest threat will be heavy rainfall and the potential of urban street flooding. A few storms could be strong enough to produce hail and gusty winds Thursday evening, but the odds of severe weather are decreasing. Here’s a close look at what you can expect.

Thursday’s forecast

Morning (6 a.m. to noon): A relatively quiet morning is expected, albeit scattered off-and-on scattered showers and weak storms are still possible. Severe weather is not expected early on, but it’s still possible that you may hear a few rumbles of thunder and experience an occasional downpour.
