SAN ANTONIO — Nine months after a 15-year-old killed his mother with a shotgun blast during an argument, the teen learned his fate Thursday morning in juvenile court.
After the now 16-year-old entered a guilty plea in January, Judge William Cruz Shaw assessed punishment at 18 years in the Texas Juvenile Justice Department, saying there were no other safe and suitable options.
