San Antonio senior makes history after being accepted into Harvard University

SAN ANTONIO — A San Antonio senior is breaking barriers in the Alamo City after being accepted into a prestigious Ivy League university.

Sarah Johnston, who attends IDEA South Flores College Preparatory, is now the school’s first-ever student to be accepted to Harvard University. In total, Sarah was accepted to three Ivy League schools including Brown University, Dartmouth College and Harvard University. Sarah has ultimately decided to attend Harvard this fall.

“Sarah’s story is one of perseverance, leadership, and a commitment to excellence. She is a shining example of what happens when passion and hard work collide,” the school said in a press release.

School officials describe Sarah as a true role model who is “breaking barriers for her family while inspiring the next generation of students at IDEA South Flores and beyond.”…
