Big changes are coming this week to Bobbie’s Southern Kitchen, the country cafe that holds the No. 1 spot on the Express-News ranking of San Antonio’s Top 10 breakfast destinations.
Building on the pancakes, omelets, chicken-fried steak and burgers that told the story of Bobbie’s for more than 50 years on the South Side, owners Ana and Greg Ferris are launching a new menu this week that adds dinner service to their new home on the North Side near Bitters Road and West Avenue.
WAKE-UP CALL: Top 10 breakfast cafes
Starting this Wednesday, Bobbie’s will be open until 9 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays, serving a new all-day menu that adds fried fish and shrimp, bone-in fried chicken, bourbon-glazed meatloaf, house-made pimento cheese, a Nashville hot chicken sandwich, and more Tex-Mex options.
