Iconic San Antonio seafood restaurant sails away after 43 years

After 43 years, one of San Antonio’s most well-recognized restaurants is leaving the harbor. Dry Dock Oyster Bar, known for its iconic boat-shaped building at 8522 Fredericksburg Rd., will close on May 13.

“We extend our deepest gratitude to each and every one of you for your unwavering support and patronage over the years,” said the restaurant via a website statement. “Your loyalty has made this journey incredibly rewarding, and we are truly humbled by your friendship and kindness.”

Geu Kim, the longstanding owner of Dry Dock, sold the business to an Odessa restaurateur to retire. The spot will evolve into a new concept, Crab City, in the upcoming weeks…
