SAN ANTONIO — A jury sentenced Whitney Caraway to 25 years in prison for the murder of Amanda Newton.
The incident occurred in May 2023, when San Antonio police responded to a call at a North Side apartment complex. Officers found Newton lying in the parking lot with multiple injuries. She had suffered 11 stab wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
