ATASCOSA COUNTY, Texas – A Poteet man has been arrested for felony forgery after deputies found evidence of counterfeit currency in the backseat of a vehicle.
According to the Atascosa County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO), deputies conducted a traffic stop early Sunday morning near Highway 281 and FM 536 in northern Atascosa County.
When they approached the vehicle, deputies observed what appeared to be counterfeit money and numerous pieces of mail in the backseat along with a printer.
