During a week marred by restaurant closures, San Antonio is adding another local eatery to the list. Focaccia Mia, an Italian bistro on the city’s Southeast Side, is pumping the brakes on operations after one year of serving up big sandwiches.
The sandwich and pizza shop announced its closure in a heartfelt Facebook post, providing a glimmer of hope that the restaurant will eventually return.
“With a broken heart, but at the same time grateful for all your support over the past year, for reasons beyond our control, we have decided to temporarily close,” Focaccia Mia wrote in the post. “It’s not a forever goodbye, because we will come back stronger!”…
