Helotes residents protest Guajolote Ranch as crews cut down live oak trees

The fight to put a stop to a new residential development on San Antonio’s Northwest Side rages on.

A group of residents from the Scenic Loop-Helotes Creek Alliance claim that the Lennar Corporation behind the 2,900-home Guajolote Ranch development is illegally cutting down live oak trees to make way for the subdivision.

Protesters gathered on Wednesday to oppose the destruction of decades-old trees, as first reported by KSAT.
