Editor’s note: Northbound US 281 is reopening Thursday night, according to TxDOT.LINN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The victim in a two vehicle fatal crash with an Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office Deputy has been identified as a San Antonio woman.
The fatal crash occurred at 4:22 p.m. at the El Rucio Road and U.S. 281 intersection in the Linn-San Manuel area.
According to Hidalgo County Sheriff Eddie Guerra, the deputy was traveling northbound and was sideswiped by the box truck.
