ND National Guard commander talks latest effort to help after Texas flooding

BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — North Dakota National Guard troops are assisting with flood recovery efforts in Texas.

On Thursday morning, Governor Kelly Armstrong authorized the National Guard to provide aerial support to help look for any victims who are still missing after flash flooding northwest of San Antonio. Commanders tell us a seven-person crew from the Air National Guard’s 119th Wing is flying an MQ-9 Reaper, a large drone that will cover a section of Texas that may be difficult to reach on foot or in a vehicle.
