1. Recent heavy rainfall in Texas increases water supply storage to 80%
Following the heavy rainfall that washed over Central Texas leading to deadly floodwaters, the state’s water supply storage exceeded 80% capacity this week, according to Water Data for Texas.
The Texas Water Development Board noted that the supply is up 2% since the start of the month. According to the agency’s drought map, which follows the state’s drought conditions on a weekly basis, several lakes are nearly 100% full…
