American burger chain Steak n’ Shake made headlines earlier this year when it committed to Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s MAHA (Make America Healthy Again) movement by switching to using beef tallow to fry its fries.
The national chain has not been shy about its right-wing leanings, creating its own version of President Donald Trump’s MAGA hat and associating with other conservative-run entities, like Fox News and Tesla. After years of closing locations, Steak n’ Shake will soon be beefing up its presence in the San Antonio area.
At the moment, San Antonio has just the one Steak n’ Shake on the city’s Far Westside, but there appears to be another location planned for a slightly different side of town, according to a new construction project registered with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
