Police pulled over Ramon Alberto Salcedo, 38, in the 9700 block of Airport Boulevard after an ” observed traffic violation,” the daily reports, citing an arrest report. The police document doesn’t state what the traffic violation was.
During a search officers found drugs, drug paraphernalia and a handgun inside the black 2013 Lexus GS Salcedo was driving, according to the police report obtained by the Express-News.
Salcedo now faces charges of possession of a controlled substance between 4 and 400 grams, which is a second-degree felony, the paper reports. He’s also charged with unlawfully carrying a weapon, a class A misdemeanor, along with possession of cannabis under two ounces and possession of drug paraphernalia. Garcia, a Democrat, represents Texas House District 124, which includes the West Side along with Westover Hills. She was not in the vehicle when it was pulled over, according to the Express-News.
