Local massage parlors lose licenses as state officials crack down on over 100 businesses

SAN ANTONIO – At least two owners of local massage establishments have been banned from the industry for life in Texas.

On Tuesday, the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) announced that since the beginning of 2025, they have revoked 110 licenses from businesses across the state and issued more than $113,000 in fines.

According to TDLR, businesses ranging from Massage Parlors, hair and nail salons, combat sports, even tow truck companies have been fined or have lost their license to operate, or have been fined, to ensure the health and safety of their customers or the public…
