Kodak Black pop-up lights up shuttered San Antonio music venue

San Antonio’s The Rustic is coming back to life — at least for three days in August. The shuttered Rim restaurant and music venue is hosting a series of live benefit shows featuring hitmakers like Kodak Black, Melii, and Austin Mahome.

The Summer Nights at the Rim pop-up series rolls in on August 1 with the Tunnel Vision rapper and friends. The bill also features R&B singers Paula de Anda and AJ Hernz, and DJ Showtime. Several of the performers have Texas roots, including Hernz and Mahome, who both grew up in Alamo City.

On August 2, Bronx De la Ghetto will bring Latin trap to the venue, followed by a country showcase on August 3. The latter is headlined by San Marcos native Gunnar Latham with Clay Hollis, Isaac Jacob, Matt Castillo, and the Teague Brothers…
