In much anticipation, eager customers, many of them being students from the University of Texas at San Antonio, stood in a long line that wrapped around the new San Antonio H-E-B College Park store, which opened at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, August 6.
Peyton Roberts, a 22-year-old UTSA student, arrived at the store with her friends at 2 a.m. She said they were so excited about the College Park store as it’s a less than five-minute drive away from the UTSA campus. Roberts said, “I think one of the main reasons we love H-E-B is all the delicious food and how close it is to campus now.”
Bri Yazbek, 29, and Becca Rubbo, 30, also couldn’t wait to get inside and shop. The two said they live down the street from the H-E-B and are “excited” about the proximity. Yazbek said she typically wakes up early and convinced her friend Rubbo to experience the grand opening together.
Located at 7330 N. Loop 1604 W. in San Antonio, H-E-B College Park offers customers their favorite products and a large assortment of South Asian and Indian products.
