Bexar County approves over $4.6 million in federal grants to support housing, infrastructure, and homelessness services

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Bexar County Commissioners Court is approving the final selection of projects to be funded through over $4.6 million in federal grants aimed at improving the quality of life for residents across the county.

The approved funding, part of the County’s annual entitlement from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), includes:

  • $3,160,136 from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program
  • $304,985.24 in CDBG Reprogramming Funds
  • $894,248 from the HOME Investment Partnerships Program
  • $257,040 from the Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) Program

These funds will be allocated to a diverse set of community projects across Bexar County, including affordable housing development, public infrastructure improvements, and homeless prevention services.
