While some local dining institutions are shrinking their San Antonio footprint, Bobbie’s Southern Kitchen is growing. A year after closing its South Flores Street restaurant, the beloved breakfast spot is officially taking over the old Neptune’s Seafood House space at 1922 Goliad Rd. this fall.
Owners Ana and Greg Ferris teased the upcoming opening in summer 2024, when it shuttered Bobbie’s longtime home in preparation for a move north to 606 Embassy Oaks. Via a recent social media post, the couple announced they finally had the keys to begin renovations.
The opening will continue the legacy of one of Alamo City’s most storied restaurants. The diner first launched when Robert and Vida Condra converted the Bob Jones Truck Stop into a cafe.
